Unlock summer bliss: slow down and savour every moment
Last month I wrote about how I’m choosing to make the most of these summer months. I shared my list of the things I want to make sure I take the time and energy to experience and do.
These included:
Eating outside as often as possible
Reading outside as often as possible
An ice cream on the beach
Barefoot walk on the beach and a paddle
Visit RHS Bridgewater at least once
A day trip to the seaside
Walks in the woods
Wear my new summer dresses
Replant my much-neglected garden
Cut posies of flowers for the house
Learn a new seasonal recipe
Try some new summer mocktails
Book a September holiday
Draw/paint outside
Go to an art exhibition
Brunch out with friends
And I’m happy to report that so far I’ve eaten and read outside. I’ve not just had a walk in the woods but I’ve started running again. I’ve planned a brunch with a friend and a trip to see an exhibition. The September holiday is booked and there are the ingredients in the fridge to try a new mocktail. I’m feeling more relaxed already and there’s a lot of summer left!
A couple of years ago I released a podcast episode all about the importance and benefits of slowing down over summer. It was one of my most downloaded episodes! With this in mind this month’s “Who am I now and what’s next?” coffee and coaching session is all about embracing a slower pace of life this summer.
In this session, we will explore:
The connection between slowing down and building confidence
How slowing down can deepen relationships and spark creativity
Practical tips for incorporating more rest and relaxation into your life
You’ll finish the session with your own, unique plan for how you are going to priortise rest, relaxation, fun and all the things that will make you feel joyful this summer.
This is a wonderful opportunity to reflect, recharge, and plan a more restful summer
It’s on Monday 22nd July at 7pm BST on zoom. If you can't make it live, don't worry – sign up and you'll receive a replay.
