What would you do if you were more confident?

What would you do if you were more confident?

The last few months have taken their toll on us in many ways. Life has quite literally been turned upside down. We’ve had to deal with the shock of going into lockdown, the isolation, home schooling, fear for our health and the health of those we love and in many cases grief.

Many of us have had our eyes opened to the horrifying levels of racism in society calling into question, and rightly so, how our actions, our inactions, ingrained beliefs and societal structures perpetuate racial injustice and violence. I’m doing my best to educate myself, to read, to listen, to question my beliefs, to examine with whom and where I spend my money. It’s a tiny, tiny drop in the ocean. It’s not enough but it is a start.

Through all of this I’ve watched as normally confident women have lost that confidence in themselves. They’ve lost that inner spark. Whether it’s been because of isolation, being furloughed, overwhelm, stress, job loss or grief. The list of reasons goes on.

Many of us are looking at the months ahead uncertain about what’s going to happen or what plans we can actually make. Because of this I’ve spoken with many women over the last few weeks who’ve taken me up on the offer of a power hour to help move from confusion to clarity. And what each of them have realised is that they can still plan for the future they want whether that’s looking for a new job, taking better care of their health, working out how they can change career or taking the next steps with their business for example.

Although every woman I’ve spoken with has been completely unique in what she has wanted to achieve every single one of them has had confidence issues in some shape or form. Women I’ve worked with before have come to me with a noticeable reduction in their confidence levels. It’s really saddened me.

I’m passionate about women leading the life that lights them up. Now. Not putting it on hold until we have more time, or the kids are older, or it’s less busy at work, or things are back to normal or, worse still, when we retire! To do this I help my clients get clarity about what they really want and then we build the confidence, self-belief and courage to start taking the action to get them there.

What would you do if you were more confident? What’s that one thing, or perhaps it’s several things that you’ve held back on because you just don’t have the self-belief to move forward?

Mine – right from the first day I started doing my coaching diploma, before in fact, my dream was to be running groups and course so that I was helping hundreds of women to build the confidence and courage to live the life that lights them up.

I remember excitedly describing my vision to my friend over a glass or two of wine. And what have I done? I’ve kept telling myself that it’s not time yet. That my audience isn’t big enough yet. That I should continue working with clients one-to-one. Asking who am I to do this?

Seriously? Enough is enough. Who am I not to do this? The very first week I launched my business on social media I shared one of my favourite quotes. It’s from Marianne Williamson in her book, “A Return to Love”.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Well, I’m owning my light and I’m doing the thing that I would do if I were more confident. So, the week of 13th to 17th July I’m holding a free five day challenge on Facebook to help women like you (and me because I’ll be taking part too) to boost our confidence and self-belief.

Sign up and you’ll have access to my Facebook group where early each morning I’ll post a short five to ten minute video explaining that day’s challenge. I know we're all busy so the challenge will be something you can either easily build into your normal day or you can choose to spend as little as ten minutes on it if that's all you've got. We’ll then support each other through the day and in the evening I’ll be live in the group to answer questions and celebrate our wins.

The Sunday following the challenge everyone who fully engaged with every task will be entered into a prize draw and two lucky people will win an hour long one-to-one coaching session with me.

I know that we’re all busy so I have deliberately designed the challenge to consist of things that you can fit into your normal day. You can spend as little or as much time on them as suits you.

This challenge is for you if

  • You want to feel more confident

  • You want to boost your self-belief

  • You’re ready to feel more in control of your own life

  • You want to feel supported by other women

even if you’re super busy, feeling overwhelmed, stressed or totally uninspired by life right now!

I’m really excited about this. Who’s with me?

The link to sign up is here.

I can’t wait for this chance to support you on your journey and to get to know you better.
